Welcome to Bellport Barn, and Åre Lifestyle Design House.

Since the early1980s when we lived in the mountains of northern Sweden, the Krusell´s manufactured through their family owned Kurbits Country Designs, large to small vintage wooden signs. We had different country designs, with different themes made in our own workshops. This production were pure artisanal, handmade, beside other products. Handpainted wooden lamps, boxes, mailboxes, furniture and decoratvie accessories etc. We also painted upon request for many individual customers and business customers, from bespoke special items to big one of a kind mural paintings.

Beside the handpainted collections we had other product collections in similar themes. We worked in Scandinavia and Europe, but also a lot in the USA, specially in the Hamptons of Long Island, NY.

Nowadays the same family Krusell owns Bellport Barn, which  is the modern version of our old pure hand crafting company, Kurbits Country Designs – today Jonas and Petra and their families work with more modern digital design tools, but still the look and finish is made by hand.

When we started in the 80s, we had our workshops in the big house we lived in. Later on, the company mooved workshops to an old vintage textile mill close to Gothenburg in the south of Sweden. But today we are again back in the Scandinavian Mountain wilderness, on alpine hight levels, close to reindeers, bears and alpine ski tracks.

Our flagship store Dekåren, based in Åre, is open for all kind of customers. There we have rustic and urban lifestyle collections; a wide range for your alpine lodge, ski shalet, ranch lover cabin, french country cottage, beach house and wilderness hunting lodge – yes, lifestyle collections from alpine to coastal living.

Today we manufacture our products from our digital designs on certified EU wood and other flat materials here in the middle of the Scandinavian mountain range, between Norway and Sweden, in a small place called Tänndalen.
